The Unification and Future of Type-C

Last year, representatives from the European Parliament and the European Council reached an agreement to unify the charging interface for all portable electronic devices in the EU region to USB Type-C by 2024. In addition, the European Parliament Gazette also pointed out that the charging speed of devices that support fast charging should be unified, allowing users to charge their devices at the same speed using any compatible charger.

In China, mainstream domestic mobile phones have switched to USB Type-C interfaces, and the standardization of fast charging technology for mobile phones is constantly being promoted. Many mobile phone companies and chip companies are participating together，laying the foundation for the subsequent development of relevant national standards. In the future, China may take the lead in achieving unified charging standards in the field of fast charging.
